In a room of men and women, doctors and nurses, and teachers and students, the FEMM 2025 Medical Management Masterclass is bringing together over one hundred passionate, reproductive health professionals from over ten countries.

They are all gathered because of one main reason: they are zealous about women’s health.

“There is something so thrilling about being in one room with all of these people, knowing that your passion is alive and shared in each one,” one attendee said.

The backgrounds of these professionals and providers are incredibly impressive, and their stories even more so. One FEMM provider, Emily C., said she got involved with FEMM because “women deserve better, and we deserve a higher standard of care.”

An anonymous FEMM user who is attending the Masterclass spoke to how FEMM has given her a new outlook on her health when she—at last—got the care she deserved. She explained that as she has engaged with the Masterclass workshops, she was reminded of how she struggled her whole life with hormones and her cycle, and that no doctors took her seriously. Her symptoms were dismissed, especially as a teenager, one of the most critical times in female development. She was “thrown medication and birth control,” which just made her miserable.

Unfortunately, like so many young women, she didn’t know there were different phases of her period cycle. She didn’t know there were different options other than surface level treatments. From the time of being a young girl, she gave up the hope of being a mother because no matter what doctor office she went to, she felt like she was “stuck forever.” She continued, “[t]he doctors never told me WHY these things were happening.”

FEMM touches the hearts of who it reaches. The user told FEMM that, “[w]hen I found FEMM, I didn’t know all of this reproductive health knowledge and its answers were real! There were actual doctors and nurses who care about these subjects and focus on them. FEMM, to me, became more than just an app; it became a relief.”

Now, this FEMM user is a proud supporter, and seeks to actively continue her education on hormonal health so that she can empower other women like her. She feels that she is “finally taken seriously.” In fact, two FEMM medical providers were so moved by her story that they personally reached out to her during the Masterclass to hear her background. They offered to listen to her years-long symptoms, offering fertility advice and giving her individualized attention about her reproductive health so she can make her dream of being a mother come true.

This is the FEMM touch: getting to the bottom of why these symptoms exist, not just trying to mask them. The Medical Management Masterclass focuses on what Dr. Pilar Vigil explains is an under-researched area of reproductive health today: hormones and the brain—“this is happening in every area of medicine.”
