Joy started working with a Dietician in a hospital setting for 7 years. While working there, she had her first baby, 5 weeks premature. Those experiences prompted her to pursue research into nutrition and fertility awareness, and eventually integrate essential oils and supplements into her healthcare plan under doctor supervision. Also a Natural Family Planning Coordinator, Joy is fluent in all NFP method “”languages”” and is friendly to all and any fertility awareness chart reviews. Her passion is in educating women on risk factors for miscarriage and premature birth, and also advocating for them with appropriate and timely intervention. Additionally, she enjoys teaching teens and their mothers why healthy ovulation during those years are so critical to bone health and brain development.
Joy also holds a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Connecticut and has audited the Medical Management course as a FEMM teacher. That course has inspired Joy to return to school to pursue an advanced nursing degree.
