Emily has been a FEMM teacher since 2017 and loves helping women and teenage girls grow in understanding their bodies. She grew up in Wisconsin, USA, but has lived in South Africa for almost a decade with her husband and kids. Her passion for women’s health, menstrual management, and cycle charting began during her time in Cote d’Ivoire, West Africa, where she lived in a host family with five teenage girls who had very little understanding of their changing bodies and many challenges that accompanied their cycles. Emily is passionate about bringing FEMM education to women and girls of every background. She teaches TeenFEMM on a volunteer basis in rural schools in her area. She also loves teaching individual women who are keen to understand ovulation as a sign of health and couples who want to learn Natural Family Planning. She offers courses in-person and online.
