Grade 6

teenFEMM Grade 6 introduces students to the systems of the body, the female reproductive anatomy and the important connection between the brain and hormones for overall health. Lessons also cover nutrition, exercise, sleep, understanding emotions, and the impact of screen time on body image, in order to encourage students to make excellent choices for their health and wellbeing through puberty.

Grade 7

teenFEMM Grade 7 expands students’ understanding of the systems of the body, and the importance of the reproductive system in overall health. Through activities and exercises, students learn that ovulation is a sign of health, producing hormones that impact brain, bone and physical development. Lessons also cover the importance of nutrition, exercise and sleep as well as the impact of screen time and peer influence on the teen brain.

Grade 8

teenFEMM Grade 8 provides a more in-depth look at the role of hormones in the healthy functioning of the female reproductive system. Students become their own cycle charting experts, identifying healthy cycle patterns for their age. In Grade 8, students also learn about the male reproductive system, including the importance of the main male hormone, testosterone, for a man’s overall health. Through lessons and activities, students learn healthy habits when it comes to nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress and conflict resolution, so as to confidently navigate the changes of puberty.

Through activities and exercises, students learn about the main male hormone, testosterone, and its important role in brain, bone and physical development in puberty. Lessons also cover the importance of nutrition, exercise and sleep as well as the impact of social media and peer influence on the teen brain.

Grade 8

teenMEN Grade 8 provides a more in-depth look at the role of hormones in the healthy functioning of the male reproductive system. In Grade 8, students also learn about the female reproductive system, including the importance of the main female hormones, estrogen and progesterone, for a woman’s overall health. Through lessons and activities, students learn healthy habits when it comes to nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress and conflict resolution, so as to confidently navigate the changes of puberty.
